Foundation & NICAS Clubs for 8 to 17 year olds

NICAS Levels 1 & 2 Clubs:

Course duration: 4 x 1.5 hour sessions

Course cost: £40 (discounted)

Course times:

NICAS Levels 1 and 2 for 8 to 13 year olds: Mondays 17:30 to 19:00

NICAS Levels 1 and 2 for 14 to 17 year olds: Tuesdays 17:30 to 19:00

About NICAS

The National Indoor Climbing Achievementy Scheme (NICAS) is a nationally recognised award that focusses on profficiency and development of climbing skills and ability.  The NICAS clubs require registration with teh NICAS scheme for the relevant levels before attendance (available at reception).  As these are a developmental club they operate on a block booking basis typically for 4 weeks.  Don't worry; if you miss the chance to book on a NICAS block there are Drop in Clubs operating along side them with the only difference that there will not be a formulated week on week development; instead the Drop in CLubs cater for those climbers that may not be ablke to attend week on week.

Foundation Drop in Clubs:

Course duration: 1.5 hours

Course cost: £12.50

Course times:

8 to 13 year olds: Mondays 17:30 to 19:00

14 to 17 year olds: Tuesdays 17:30 to 19:00

The Foundation Drop in Clubs offer an introductory session for those aged between 8 and 17.  If you wish to work to a certified scheme and devleop your climbing then we recommend registering with NICAS and booking on the NICAS clubs.
